What is Thca ?
THCa — tetrahydrocannabinolic acid — is the raw, non-psychoactive form of THC found naturally in the cannabis plant. It's what THC looks like before it's exposed to heat.
When you smoke or vape THCa flower, the heat converts it to Delta 9 THC through a process called decarboxylation. That's what produces the effects you'd expect from cannabis.
Because THCa itself is not Delta 9 THC, hemp flower with high THCa content but less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC on a dry weight basis is legal under the 2018 Farm Bill. All of our THCa flower is tested at DEA-accredited labs to confirm compliance.
In its raw form — in a smoothie, for example — THCa does not produce psychoactive effects. It's only when heat is applied that the conversion happens.
